James Jones
Hello! I'm James, I am currently a doctoral researcher at Loughborough University, supervised by Dr. Alan Thompson. I am interested in algebraic geometry and my PhD project is titled "Type II Degenerations of K3 Surfaces of Degree 4". I have recently uploaded a paper to arXiv based on this work, check it out here!
Before this I was an MMath student at the University of Warwick and my dissertation, titled "A full exceptional sequence in Db(Coh(Pn)) ", was supervised by Dr. Christian Böhning.
Here is a copy of my CV - I am currently on the job market looking for postdoctoral positions commencing from summer 2025.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing saxophone and regularly play and perform with Tuxedo Swing and LSU Classical at Loughborough University.
